Nine White Banners
Four Przewalski’s horses (okay, I am going to call them tахь instead, which is much easier to type, I had to type the p-word 4 times to get it right) were flown from the Prague Zoo to Mongolia last month to join the wild herd. The last wild tахь was seen in Mongolia in the 1960s. Starting in the 1980s, tахь born in zoos were released wild in Mongolia. There are about 300 now, but the goal is to get to 500 so that even if there is a very snowy winter (зуд) and some die, the herd will survive.
