The Tuul river in Mongolia has been getting drier over the past ten years. The Mongolian Environmental Protection Agency has flown in a family of 14 beavers from Germany to build dams and deepen the river and keep the area around the river from getting drier. The Environmental Protection Agency hopes the beavers can naturally raise the water level slowly over the long term.
